A magical and majestic wine, the 2013 Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard Elysian Cabernet Sauvignon is a small selection of barrels from this First Growth site outside Saint Helena. A dense purple hue with an undeniable bouquet of black currants, unsmoked tobacco, moist earth, cedarwood and iron, it hits the palate with a powerful, full-bodied style that remains light to the touch, impeccably balanced and oh-so-pure. and seamless as they come. From a great vintage, a great terroir and a great winemaker, it is still firm and closed on the palate and needs 4-5 years of bottle aging, but will keep for 30-40 years. It's an amazing wine!
