A blend of 90% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc and 4% Malbec, La Muse 2018 was matured for 16 months in 100% new French oak barrels. Medium to deep garnet purple in color, the nose offers a powerful perfume of cherry pie, blackberry jam and roasted plums, followed by suggestions of red roses, cast iron skillet, undergrowth and unsmoked cigars, plus whiffs of licorice and oolong tea. Medium to full bodied, layers of black fruits and exotic spices flow gracefully over the palate, textured by luxurious tannins and enhanced with perfect freshness, finishing epically long and achingly fragrant.
